What to look out for:

When looking for a contractor to work on your outdoor project there are somethings you want to watch out for:

Have you ever driven passed what seems to be a large project every day. They set up the fencing and put up signs to tell you what compony they are and what’s going to be there. They bring in 3 or 4 large machines and then NOTHING, you drive passed the project for weeks and not a single machine has moved, then one day like magic all the dirt work is done! The reality is they never needed all those machines there they probably only one or two of them there for a day or two. A little unknow secret from costumers some Excavating companies do is give you an estimate that seems to be in your budget then park a number of oversized machines on the Job eating away at the budget you agreed upon with daily machine fees than asking for more money on the back end knowing the head ach it would be legally to fight it as well as finding another contractor, knowingly ripping you off. I’ve heard this story time and time again from costumers, some of now in a legal battel with said contractors. Here at Mid America Excavating what you see on your estimate is the price you pay unless you decide you want more added in which you would get a estimate and go though with a down payment just as you did with the inshall job. We love transparency and communication that’s why we have CSRs that insure you know what, when, and how much every step of the way. We only put a machine on your land when it is time to work. We will not place a machine on your property until there is a person there to operate and weather is good, saving you money with less over all construction time as well.
